You should review your policies at least every 5 years or when a life event happens.

Personal Insurance lines such as your home & auto insurance should be reviewed every few years or sooner if you receive a renewal increase over 10%.  It is also a good idea to review your policy if you plan on adding a pool or getting pets that could affect the amount of insurance you need.

Depending on the types of retirement polices such as an annuity or IRA they should be reviewed at least once a year. If your financial goals change throughout the year or you have a major life event you should review them even sooner.

Medical, Dental and Vision should be reviewed every year during open enrollment. It is important to remember that you cannot change your plan during the year, because of this you want to make sure you understand any plan changes from one year to the next. If you have any changes in your health open enrollment is the time to make sure you are fully covered.
